🌸💜 Tomorrow Is the Day — Bloom Together: Create for Choice

Tomorrow is the day.
I honestly can't believe it.
After all the planning, creating, organizing, worrying, dreaming, and putting all of the little pieces together, Bloom Together: Create for Choice is happening tomorrow.
And I would really, truly love to have you there.
Tomorrow, Friday, September 18th at 5:30 PM, we are gathering at Marge Roberts Park in Arvada to spend an evening creating, connecting, sharing food, learning, laughing, and celebrating community.
And I want to be honest — this event has always been about more than painting.
The painting is just one part of it.
The flowers are just one part.
The food is just one part.
The gift bags are just one part.
At the heart of this event is something much bigger:
Community.
🌷 We Are Not Meant to Do Everything Alone
There are so many moments in life when people are expected to just figure things out.
Figure out what comes next.
Figure out where to find help.
Figure out what resources are available.
Figure out how to make difficult decisions.
Figure out how to keep going.
And sometimes, what someone really needs isn't another person telling them what to do.
Sometimes they just need someone beside them.
Someone who listens.
Someone who doesn't judge.
Someone who says, "I'm here."
Someone who shares a meal.
Someone who sits in the grass and paints with them.
Someone who hands them a resource.
Someone who reminds them that they are not alone.
That is the kind of community I want to create.
And that is why Bloom Together exists.
🎨 Come Paint With Us
Tomorrow, we're going to make art together.
You don't need to be an artist.
You don't need to know how to paint.
You don't need to make something perfect.
Honestly, I don't even want perfect.
I want real.
I want people sitting together, paint on their hands, laughing when something doesn't turn out the way they imagined.
I want people creating something they can take home and remember.
I want us to have an evening where we can step away from everything for a little while and just be together.
All of the painting supplies will be provided, and we'll have a guided community painting so you don't have to walk in wondering what you're supposed to do.
Just show up.
Pick up a paintbrush.
And create.
🍽️ Bring Food. Or Don't.
We're also having an optional community potluck.
If you signed up to bring food, please remember to bring it tomorrow! 💜
But if you didn't sign up for the potluck, that's okay.
If you can't afford to bring something, that's okay.
If you simply didn't have time, that's okay.
Come anyway.
This event isn't about what you can contribute financially or what you can put on a table.
It's about having a place for you.
👨👩👧👦 Bring Your People
Bring your kids.
Bring your partner.
Bring your best friend.
Bring your sister.
Bring someone who has been needing to get out of the house.
Bring someone who loves to paint.
Bring someone who knows absolutely nothing about reproductive justice.
Bring someone who just wants to spend an evening surrounded by good people.
Bring your people.
And if you're coming alone?
That's okay too.
You don't have to know anyone when you arrive.
There will be people there.
There will be space for you.
🌿 There Is a Reason We Are Gathering
Bloom Together is being held in honor of Self-Managed Abortion Week of Action, and reproductive justice resources and educational materials will be available.
But I don't want tomorrow to feel like a lecture.
I want it to feel like community.
A place where people can learn without judgment.
A place where people can ask questions.
A place where people can find resources.
A place where people can talk about bodily autonomy and reproductive freedom while also painting flowers, eating food, taking pictures, and laughing together.
Because joy belongs here too.
We are allowed to create beautiful things while fighting for a better world.
We are allowed to take care of each other.
We are allowed to celebrate each other.
We are allowed to have fun.
🌸 Tomorrow, I Want to See You There

And if you have a friend who might want to come, bring them.
If you see this and think of someone, send it to them.
Invite them.
Because you never know who needs a place to go tomorrow.
You never know who needs community.
You never know who has been feeling alone.
You never know who needs to be reminded that their choices matter.
And you never know what can happen when a group of people simply decides to show up for one another.
So tomorrow...
Let's fill the park.
Let's paint.
Let's eat.
Let's laugh.
Let's talk.
Let's learn.
Let's connect.
Let's celebrate.
Let's make something beautiful together.
Because we don't bloom in isolation.
🌸 WE BLOOM TOGETHER. 💜
And truly...
I would love to have you there.
